Nicknamed BrazEnglish after her “hybrid” ethnic background, Sarah Irene Bamford brings the same type of diversity into her personal and professional relationships. Being a ‘social dragonfly’ known for her ‘promiscuous friending’ is a witty reputation she lives up to. Most of Sarah’s success is attributed to her passionate drive and “go-getting” character. She leverages extraordinary resources to produce successful results relevant to her numerous projects. During the first semester of her senior year at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in New York City (LIM College) she participated in a cooperative education program with IMG World. It was in IMG's Fashion division where she gained first-hand experience among the fashion elite while working as Production Coordinator under Fern Mallis’ renowned production and marketing team.
Sarah began developing stronger relationships in the Fashion Industry after graduating with a BBA from the LIM College. A week before leaving for her secondary country of citizenship and Mother's native, Brazil, Sarah signed with Winston Retail Solutions at their Manhattan offices as a Merchandise Coordinator for brands such as Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and Nike. But soon after she transitioned into Public Relations and Marketing with an internship at Lizzie Grubman Public Relations(LGPR). It was at LGPR where her passion for Public Relations and true talents in networking were ignited. Sarah’s ability to transition quickly helped her ultimately move into the marketing department of Baby Phat (by Kimora Lee Simmons) Footwear, a division of Vida Brands LLC. At Vida Sarah initiated promotional projects, a 2007 Phat Footwear Homecoming Campaign, and secured product placement with key radio personalities in major cities and A-List celebrity stylist.
In 2008 Sarah attended the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. During this time she worked with event planning and marketing firms such as Wise & Company, SoHo Experiential and Glow Media on an array of special events. Today, with a busy and sometimes hectic schedule, Sarah dedicates time to non-profit organizations, travels internationally, and enjoys countless fashion and entertainment events in Los Angeles and New York. "The actualization of starting Hybrid Media fulfilled my long-term goal of owning a boutique agency dedicated to special event planning, public relations and marketing." But her drive doesn't stop there. Another lifetime goal she plans to achieve within the next five years is launching a non-profit that helps children in underprivileged areas of the world through education. Sarah is currently building Hybrid Media with clients in the continental US and Brazil while attending the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at New York University for Public Relations.
